1. Schedule other services first

   - Scheduling services like hair, nails, waxing, facials, and massages two days before your spay tan so the residue from these services does not compromise your spray tan.

2. Exfoliate Before Your Appointment

   - Gently exfoliate with a spa-grade exfoliator one day before your tan. Complete all shaving to remove dead skin cells & leave the skin fresh and renewed.

3. Stay Hydrated Inside & Out

   - Hydration is key to long-lasting tan. Drink plenty of water & replenish your skin with a quality moisturizer several times per day leading up to your appointment

4. Arrive With Clean Skin

   -If necessary shower wiht water, no soaps, hours before the tan to remove lotions, makeup, perfumes, and deodorants which cause uneven development

5. Wear Loose-Fitting Clothing

   - Bring loose, dark-colored cotton pants & a shirt to dress into after your appointment while your spray tan develops. Avoid leggings, close-toed shoes, bras, and other restrictive clothing.

During your spray tan, you may opt to wear underwear, a swimsuit, or nothing at all. Remember that areas that are covered during your spray tan will not be tanned, resulting in tan lines. We provide optional disposable undies that you may use if desired.

1. Avoid Water & Skin to Skin Contact

   - Treat your new spray tan with caution while it develops. Avoid sweating or exposure to water and refrain from touching or scratching your body until your instructed shower time.

2. Shower At Your Designated Rinse Time

   - Rinse with cool water at your assigned shower time. Do not wear the solution for longer than the time your technician has instructed. Always pat dry and do not rub when exiting the shower.

3. Use Tan-Safe Products

   - Use Quality, spray tan safe products, including body washes and moisturizers, to help your tan last longer and fade evenly. Professional products available for purchase at Haus of FIDI - ask your tech for recommendations.

4. Apply Tan Extended Lotion Daily

   - Tan Extend contains a bled of naturally hydrating ingredients & DHA to promote healthy skin and gradual color to keep your spray tan glowing.

5. Don't Neglect Your SPF

   - Spray tans do not protect your skin from UVA damage. Continued use of SPF daily is essential to healthy glowing skin.

6. Your Spray Tan is Only Temporary

   - Avoid excessive shaving, sweating, hot showers, baths and exposure to saltwater and chlorine to reduce the chance of premature fading and uneven color.

Be advised there is a small percentage of individuals who may not react favorably to spray tanning. Therefore, we recommend scheduling a practice session 30 days before your event if your appearance is critical (e.g., wedding, special occasion, or prom). If you are a tried and true spray tan vet, two days before any major events is recommended.
